This "plaza de torros" could be 500 years old. Every village here in the heart of ranch country has one. Most rodeos are held in December and January. Some towns have many each year. San Miguel has only one per year, and was supposed to be last weekend, but is happening now because of the last weeks rainstorm.

This is a very traditional rodeo, most of the people here came by horse, and the bulls in the bullpen are from local ranches. Most of the cowboys live within 2 miles of here.
